Royal Caribbean International (NYSE: RCL) launched Voyager Of The Seas, the world's largest cruise ship featuring innovative amenities including the industry's first ice-skating rink, rock climbing wall, the world’s largest ocean-bound spa and golf simulator.
To help launch Voyager, Royal Caribbean created the Virtual Voyager, a 57-foot virtual touring attraction that "dropped anchor" in 19 cities over a four-month period. The Virtual Voyager centered around a 3-D theater highlighting the ships newest pageantry while side screens showcased exotic ports of call with sea breezes and eucalyptus "transported" visitors to the Caribbean. Our aggressive outreach program resulted in Voyager stories and interviews with the company's CEO in dozens of regional newspapers, magazines and television program in addition to the following media: CNBC, APTN, CNNfn, UPN, WPIX-TV, FOX News, “The Wall Street Journal Report,” The New York Times, Conde Nast Traveler, Town & Country, Parents Magazine, New York Trend, Advertising Age, Reuters and Associated Press.
